Level 1 Games

Know before you go

What we run, how our events work, and the house rules. New here? This is everything you need — and if it isn't, just ask. We're friendly.

What we run

Friday Night Magic Draft

Booster draft — we crack the packs, and build a deck during the night. No collection needed to play, and you keep everything you open.

Casual Commander

Bring a 100-card singleton deck and we'll put you in a pod. Relaxed, social, and welcoming to every power level.

Pokémon League

Organized play for the Pokémon TCG. One of the best places to start if you or your kids are new to the game.

Prerelease

Play with a brand new Magic set before it reaches shelves. Seats are limited, so message us ahead to reserve one.

Dates, times and entry fees for every event are on the calendar.

House rules

Short and simple: Don't be a jerk.

  • Respect goes both ways. Harassment, slurs, and targeting people over who they are will get you asked to leave, first time, no warning.
  • No proxies, fakes or counterfeits. If we see you playing with those cards, you will be escorted out.
  • Mind your stuff, and everyone else's. Never touch another player's cards, deck, or dice without asking.
  • Newer players get patience. Everybody was new once. If someone is learning, help them.
  • Lids on drinks. Drinks with lids are fine while you play, but one spilled soda will ruin a night.
  • Staff decisions are final.

We also follow the code of conduct for the organized play programs we run — Wizards of the Coast for Magic, and The Pokémon Company for Pokémon events.

How our events work

The full schedule lives on the events calendar, with dates, times, formats, and entry fees. Here's what applies across the board.

Signing up

Call the shop on (862) 248-0456 ahead of time and we'll reserve your spot. For prereleases and anything with limited product, contact us ahead to reserve a seat, because those do sell out.

Entry

Entry fees are listed per event on the calendar, and you pay at the counter when you check in.

What to bring

Bring your favorite decks, a way to track life totals, and dice or tokens for anything your deck needs. For prerelease events, everything you need except sleeves is in the product. We provide basic lands if you need them.

Families and younger players

Kids are genuinely welcome — Pokémon League in particular draws a family crowd. Players under 13 should have an adult with them in the shop.

If your child is new to the game and you're not sure where to start, come in on a quieter afternoon and we'll walk you both through it.

Lost property

Left something behind? Call us. We hold on to lost property.
